Spring Cleaning For Your Website

Your house needs it, your work area needs it, and your website needs it too. Spring cleaning is way to refresh your existing website by keeping it current and enhancing it. This ensures new visitors see an accurate representation of your company and return visitors see a company that is always current.

Content
In time, a website’s content can become outdated and often inaccurate. Outdated information can lead to misinformed customers, possibly causing problems. To alleviate this, review the content you have on your website and replace it with new and accurate information. This can include articles, links, and even PDF downloads available from your website. Be sure all contact information such as physical address, emails, and phone numbers are correct. Even if old content is still correct, it can be a good thing to rewrite information to keep it fresh. In addition, a search engine responds well to a website that is updated regularly.

Pictures
Like content, pictures can age too. General pictures on your website should be changed so return visitors see new ones. Staff or facility pictures may become outdated as employees come and go, and businesses move or relocate. Providing new and current pictures can show your visitors who and what you are today, not last year.

New Features
Upgrading or adding new features to your website can spruce things up too. Calendars and newsletters are tools that are improved each year and can be upgraded easily on your website. New features can be added to your website such as a website chat, search feature, or slideshow.
